4Nerds Gaming is a website about the history and meaning of video games. Here, the medium is to be viewed from as many different angles as possible. In addition, the cultural aspect of video games should be promoted and preserved. We at 4nerds-gaming.com hope to present and archive the world of video games more and more in depth in the coming years.

Gaming has become part of society’s pop culture, and for an entire generation, characters like Guybrush Threepwood, Gordon Freeman, and Lara Croft are title heroes that still adorn the walls of many homes today. Video games are to be taken here of their development exactly under the magnifying glass.

For this I have researched from books, Internet sources and my entire life all the information to present for everyone the development of video games as comprehensible as possible. I hope that I can somehow enrich all interested with my Bloq.

Who am I?

I’m Thomas Exeler, a freelance gamer and preserver of video game history.

Since I was born I not only play games, but at that time, before my actual work, I dealt with PC games as a resort manager of a small gaming magazine. Good old times.
Today, thanks to my scientific expertise, I would like to bring video games more into the center of society and capture them in all their depth with this project.

Video games are a matter of heart for me. Gaming itself has been a huge resillience factor for most of my life, helping me pass the time, play with friends, get over my sadness in bad times, or just acquire languages and general knowledge that wouldn’t have existed in my parents‘ house.
