PDP-1
This computer will run the first video game

In 1960, IBM got competition when the DEC company delivered the world’s first minicomputer, the PDP-1 (Programmed Data Processor 1) complete with keyboard and screen. The PDP-1 was still the size of two refrigerators. The purchase price was $120,000. By 1969, 53 units had been built. The PDP-1 contained 2700 transistors and 3000 diodes. The special feature was the round monitor with its hexagonal housing. On the PDP-1 the probably first video and multiplayer computer game was developed at MIT by STEVE Russel and other students, namely Spacewar!
