The Philips CD-i (Compact Disc Interactive) was a multimedia platform designed for games, education and interactive movies.
It was one of the first CD-based home systems and focused heavily on full-motion video and educational software.
Description & Screenshots
Although innovative, the CD-i struggled due to high price and lack of high-quality games. It is best remembered for its unusual Zelda and Mario licensed titles.
The system featured a wide range of controllers including gamepads, remotes and trackballs.
