WarioWare: Get It Together! (2021)
WarioWare: Get It Together! is a 2021 microgame collection for Nintendo Switch that flips the usual formula: you control characters directly inside the microgames—solo or in chaotic multiplayer—with each character offering unique abilities.

Gameplay:
Play rapid microgames while controlling Wario & friends directly. Each character moves/attacks differently,
so the “best solution” changes depending on who you pick. Multiplayer adds co-op or versus chaos across fast rounds.
Story:
A shady “game console” sucks the crew into a bizarre game world. To escape, they battle through themed sets of microgames,
bosses, and nonsense—classic WarioWare energy with a simple get-out-alive premise.
Trivia:
This entry’s big twist is direct character control, adding positioning and movement strategy to the usual split-second prompts.
It’s one of the series’ boldest mechanical shifts since the DS and Wii experiments.
Instead of “press the right button,” Get It Together! turns microgames into tiny action arenas. That one change makes the same microgame play differently depending on your character—so the series gains replayability, party chaos, and a surprisingly tactical layer.

Why WarioWare: Get It Together! Was Historically Important
Get It Together! modernized WarioWare by turning microgames into character-driven action challenges. By making movement and abilities the “controller gimmick,” it refreshed the series without relying on new hardware, and it pushed the party identity further by designing many moments around shared multiplayer chaos.
